Objectives :-
  1. Promote Entrepreneurial Culture & Motivate Self-Employment: To motivate youth representing from different sections of the society including SC/ST/Women, differently abled, Ex-servicemen and BPL persons to consider self employment or entrepreneurship as one of the career options.
  2. Skill Development: Provide technical and business skills to the target group, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and enhancing their career success.
  3. Basic and Advanced Training: Offer basic and advanced entrepreneurship training to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into action, improve their personal entrepreneurial skills and upscale their business or enterprise.
  4. Support MSME Growth: Assist in the establishment and growth of new MSMEs, thereby improving productivity and job creation through vocational training and advanced management courses.

Training Components of the ESDP Scheme :-
  1. Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP)
    Overview:
    • Duration: One day
    • Purpose: Identify and motivate potential entrepreneurs to set up MSMEs.
    • Structure: Formal inaugural and technical sessions, one-to-one discussions for counseling and mentoring.
    • Participants: 50 to 100 persons, aged 18 and above.
  2. Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programme (E-SDP)
    Overview:
    • Duration: Six weeks
    • Purpose: Conduct special entrepreneurship development programmes for new livelihood and rural enterprise creation.
    • Structure: Product-cum-process oriented activity-based programme with hands-on practice or demonstration.
    • Participants: 25-30 persons, aged 18 and above.
    • Sessions: 4 per day.
    Course Examples: Agro-based products, herbal cosmetics, fashion garments, food processing, mechanical engineering, IT, and more.
  3. Management Development Programme (MDP)
    Overview:
    • Duration: One week
    • Purpose: Capacity building of MSMEs through management practices.
    • Structure: Inputs on managerial functions to improve decision-making and productivity.
    • Budget:Rs. 50,000 per programme (Rs. 1,000 per participant).
    • Participants:25-30 persons, aged 18 and above.
    • Sessions: 4 per day (20 sessions in a week).
    Course Examples: Industrial management, HR management, marketing, export management, digital marketing, supply chain management, and more.
  4. Advanced E-SDP (A-ESDP)
    Overview:
    • Duration: Minimum one week
    • Purpose: Provide advanced training through reputed institutions.
    • Budget:80% of the cost (max Rs. 50,000 per candidate); remaining 20% by candidate or institution.
    • Participants:Above 20 persons.
    • Eligibility: Existing entrepreneur can participate in this programme.
  5. Advanced Management Development Programme (A-MDP)
    Overview:
    • Duration: Minimum one week
    • Purpose: Advanced MDP training through State ATIs and reputed institutions.
    • Budget:Rs. 4,000 per candidate per day for non-residential; Rs. 8,000 per candidate per day for residential.
    • Participants:Above 25 persons.
    • Eligibility: Existing entrepreneur can participate in this programme.
